License conditions
for publication in the periodical Wallachia Historical Review (Valašsko, vlastivědná revue - VVR)
By sending a contribution to the VVR periodical, the author grants the Museum of the Wallachia Region, p. o. a license to the submitted contribution under the following conditions:
Author's declaration
The author declares that the contribution is free of copyright or other legal defects. The contribution is his original work of authorship. The contribution has also not been offered elsewhere for publication concurrently with the offer for the VVR periodical.
- The author declares that he is the actual author of the submitted contribution. The author is therefore not limited in any way when granting a license and his freedom to grant a license is not limited or excluded in any respect, i.e. the author is authorized to dispose of the contribution at his discretion. The author also declares that any co-authors have been acquainted with and agree to the wording of these license conditions and the latest submitted form of the contribution.
- The contribution is not subject to the employment work regime, its use within the license used by the VVR periodical is not limited by the conditions of specific financial support (e.g. grant) or third-party rights. In the case of using sources of financial support when writing the contribution, these sources must be stated in the contribution. If third-party materials were used, the author declares that he has secured the necessary permissions for them before submitting the contribution to the editors.
- The author agrees that, in the event of acceptance of the contribution for publication, a proposal to conclude a license agreement will be submitted on his behalf for the contribution, directed towards an indefinite circle of persons, with the content of the agreement being determined by reference to the publicly known license terms Creative Commons BY-NC 4.0 International (available at https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc/4.0/); this proposal to conclude a license agreement will not be submitted for works or elements (e.g. image or photographic documentation) that the author used in the contribution on the basis of a contractual license with a third party.
- In the event that any of the author's statements prove to be false, the author is aware that he is liable for the resulting damage, including the costs associated with conducting any legal disputes and damage resulting from the violation of the good name of the periodical or the Museum of the Wallachian Region, p. o.
Granting of a license
The author grants the Museum of the Wallachian Region, p. o. a free, non-exclusive and non-exclusive license without quantitative and territorial restrictions for all known ways of using the contribution (in particular for reproduction, distribution and communication of the contribution to the public), separately, in a set or in combination with another contribution or elements regardless of the form or method of expression (including electronic form).
The license is granted free of charge, for the duration of the property rights to the contribution.
The Wallachian Region Museum, p. o. may grant the authorization forming part of the license to a third party or parties, in whole or in part, on the basis of a sublicense agreement, for a fee or free of charge.
The Wallachian Region Museum, p. o. is not obliged to use the provided license free of charge. In the event of a refusal to publish a contribution in the periodical, the provided license will be limited at the time of such refusal only to the extent necessary for the use of the contribution within the framework of related editorial activities (e.g. archiving).
Other
The VVR periodical respects and adheres to the ethical principles of the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors, while the Author undertakes to follow the ethical principles that concern (the obligations of authors).
The Author agrees that the Wallachian Region Museum, p. o. will process his/her personal data for the purposes of publication within the VVR periodical, to the extent necessary. (General provisions regarding the handling of personal data).
Legal relations arising from the subject license agreement are governed by the law of the Czech Republic; any disputes arising in connection with the license will be decided by the courts of the Czech Republic.
Obligations of authors
- The team of authors may only include members who have significantly contributed to the creation of the submitted contribution. They have therefore actively participated in the preparation of the contribution, for example by planning the study, collecting data or interpreting the results.
- The author or team of authors (hereinafter referred to as the author) is obliged to submit the proposal for the contribution to the publisher properly and on time. The author is responsible for the scientific and professional level of the proposal for the contribution, the chosen methodology, as well as for the interpretation of the conclusions.
- The author is responsible for the originality of the proposal for the contribution. The author is responsible for the verifiability, originality and veracity of the data used by him.
- The author may not simultaneously offer the main topic of the contribution in a publishable scope to another editorial office.
- The author undertakes to comply with the ethical principles of the VVR periodical, in particular to avoid plagiarism and manipulation of data. He must also comply with generally valid standards of research ethics.
- The author must follow the instructions for authors, adhere to the specified citation apparatus and clearly state the sources from which he drew.
- The author is obliged to respond to comments from the editorial staff of the publisher VVR, or to suggestions and criticisms from members of the editorial board of the periodical. If it is a collective of authors, the main (corresponding) author is responsible for communication with the editorial staff of VVR. He also conveys this information to the co-authors. In the event of disagreement, the author may refuse publication of the contribution.
Processing and protection of personal data
The names and email addresses entered on this page will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the VVR periodical and will not be made available for other purposes or to third parties. These data are: name and surname, title, contact details along with postal and email address and also, if applicable, institutional affiliation.

for the purposes of accepting, assessing the contribution by the editorial board and publishing the contributions in the professional and popularization periodical VVR. Only the editorial board, editors and publisher have access to personal data.
Provided that the contribution successfully passes the meeting of the editorial board and is published in the VVR periodical, the names and surnames of the authors along with the email address and institutional affiliation will be published on the website of this periodical.
The author may exercise his rights towards the contributing organization through the personal data protection officer. Personal data protection officer:
